【Introduction Session】Essential Guide to Effective Arts Management: Law, Marketing, Finances and Project Management

Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association (HKAAA)'s “Essential Guide to Effective Arts Management: Law, Marketing, Finances and Project Management”, will be held from June to August. The course will provide the professional training to support the development of local arts administrators and establish the arts administrators network in Hong Kong. It will include an introductory seminar of concepts and theories, which will be put in authentic practice using a mix of interactive workshops, exercises, active sharing among participants, real-life case studies and a field trip. With the support of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, we aim to nurture the arts administrators, independent producers, freelance arts practitioners and more throughout the course.

 

HKAAA is going to host an introduction session to provide information to people who are interested in joining "Essential Guide to Effective Arts Management".

Arts administrators require to have varieties skills to handle daily administration tasks. In order to recognize how an art project works in the market and how to reach the target audience, the effective arts administration management is required. The Association organized an introduction session of ‘Essential Guide to Effective Arts Management: Law, Marketing, Finances and Project Management’ to further introduce the course content and information.
 
Mr Paul Tam (Chairman, Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association and Executive Director, Hong Kong Ballet) and Dr Patrick Mok (Treasurer, Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association and Assistant Professor, Hang Seng Management College) shared their senior experiences in the field. Throughout the introduction session, two moderators shared the course details, as well as responded participants’ questions. The course shall be a good fundamental training for those junior arts administrators. We look forward to seeing every registrant in the course very soon!
