是次DesignInspire展覽匯集了超過數百件作品,本會非常榮幸能邀請香港貿易發展局代表Lavender Mak小姐擔任導賞團的演講嘉賓。麥小姐向我們展示了本年度的重點企劃,包括機械仿生暴龍、調酒機器人、Miniature微型藝術等,並向參加者講解設計及創新理念如何能夠融入生活,為生活帶來影響。
 
透過欣賞各種別出心裁的設計,並體驗不同的互動元素,參加者可從中了解是次展覽背後的理念、創作和多方面的合作過程。

Experimental Dance Theatre 8/F Platform xii – NEXT
Korea X Israel X Guangzhou X Taiwan X Hong Kong
 
Presented by the Hong Kong Dance Company, the 8/F Platform is a dance laboratory that embraces choreography, performance, education, demonstration, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and the audience development. The platform aims to bring together audiences, dancers and artists, and serve as a catalyst for creativity.
 
For two consecutive weeks in December 2018, we will present works from Korea, Israel, Guangzhou, Taiwan and Hong Kong to share their masterpieces in 8/F Platform. All these pieces look at relationships among family, friends and lovers, trust and belonging, emotion, undetermined life directions and entrenched habits.

City Flâneur Movie Week
“City Flâneur Movie Week” will be showing six selected films to explore the nature of the city from different perspectives. Every city has a unique cityscape, you can see Chongqing, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tehran and more from the selected films. Moreover, there are much more for you to explore beyond the surface - the cities' omnipresent systems and unsung heroes for example - which may turnout change your current perception. Come to watch these films from the “Belt and Road” countries and find out. There will also be guest sharing sessions by filmmakers, commentators and architects to talk about these themed cities throughout the week.

JOCKEY CLUB New Arts Power: “It’s a Heaven Over There” by multimedia artist Samson Young
Do you believe in utopia? If so, where is it?
 
Presented by JOCKEY CLUB New Arts Power, the latest radio broadcast artwork It’s a Heaven Over There by renowned multimedia artist and composer Samson Young, will be broadcasting from 8am to 8pm on 29 December, the last Saturday of 2018. Samson will invite 12 special guests to debate on the notion of utopia and its possibility in the 12-hour continuous discussion, an overarching theme crossing a wide range of topics including history, arts, cinema and international relations. Pianist Geneva Fung will accompany the whole broadcast with her harpsichord improvisation onsite where Utopia playlists were also asked and selected by each of the invited guests.
 
It’s a Heaven Over There will be live streamed online with the final hour live simulcast on RTHK Radio 4 FM 97.6 – 98.9.

DESIGN TRUST SEED AND FEATURE GRANTS

Design Trust offers grants to individual designers, curators, collectives and non-profit organisations for projects and activities that are relevant to various design disciplines. These grants support projects relevant to Hong Kong in the context of the Greater Bay Area. The Greater Bay Area comprises of the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, and the nine municipalities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing in Guangdong Province. DESIGN TRUST FEATURE GRANTS foster cross-disciplinary projects focusing on the Greater Bay Area. Projects awarded have a wide reaching audience and maybe sited in an exhibition or biennale venue with international recognition and standing. This Feature grant supports international exchanges between a HK/China based collective with an international renowned cultural institution. The grant aims to excel, share and build new knowledge and unique positions on the value of design.
 
DESIGN TRUST SEED GRANTS foster a culture of experimentation, testing and sharing. This grant is awarded to individuals seeking to kick start a meaningful and intellectual project with social, educational, economical or environmental impact for communities. Seed Grants may also be awarded for applicants who have a project in the pipeline that needs additional resources to complete the project. To further continue the mission of supporting emerging designers, and young scholars, Design Trust highly encourages applicants from Hong Kong and the region to apply for this grant to support projects showcasing work at international exhibition venues, attendance at an international symposium conference for a paper presentation or international biennales or design festivals to showcase prototypes, conference paper or works relevant to architecture, graphic, industrial or emerging design fields.

深水埗演義系列:《穿上她的鞋》、《肉的聲音》

今次CCCD的深水埗演義系列將向大家呈現最真實的人物故事,帶領觀眾在黑盒劇場內穿越時空,聆聽和經歷石硤尾和深水埗超越半世紀的歷史和人生。

《穿上她的鞋》講述余淑媚於石硤尾徙置區長大的人身故事,從穿上爸爸為她做的第一對鞋開始,學懂珍惜每對陪伴她一起走過成長路的鞋。《肉的聲音》將由林歡曉以對白、身體、形體和行為藝術,呈現深水埗區生活的真實人物,當中包括城市規劃師、社會工作者及露宿者等,以回應和展現他們作為人,在心裡的情感。

李偉能:舞者遴選 x 工作坊 Joseph Lee:Dancer Audition X Workshop
本地編舞李偉能將會於12月22-23日舉辦為期兩天的當代舞工作坊,分享在歐洲交流時的學習和思考、自身研習的課題和創作方向,同時為明年九月發表的新作品以及後年的製作尋找演出創作伙伴。Local choreographer Joseph Lee is holding a two-day contemporary dance workshop on 22-23 December, to share his thoughts gained from the exchange experiences in Europe, his current research and the artistic direction. Meanwhile, Joseph also wishes to seek partners for his new creation premiered in September 2019 and upcoming production(s) in 2020.

Cultural Management: Critical Approaches
(Hong Kong) In view of the rapid professionalization and development of international arts ecology, the M.A. in Cultural Management (MACUM) programme of the Chinese University of Hong Kong will be organising a series of 12 Cultural Management-related lectures (over the course of 5 days) between November 2018 and January 2019, under the umbrella title of “Cultural Management: Critical Approaches”. Instead of focusing on the transfers of practical skills, the series of lectures, which is open to public and admission free, aims to generate critical discussions and reflections into the current challenges, practices and other critical issues in cultural management.

HK Phil – YU LONG|Scheherazade
Acclaimed for his cantabile playing, starry cellist Alban Gerhardt will play Barber’s Cello Concerto in the concert. This concerto is known for its technical challenges and lyricism. 《墨迷宮》– 一場文字與身體的劇場實驗
 
《墨迷宮》是一個歷時三年的斷續探索與創作,劇場表演如何穿越身體與文字的微妙關係,什麼文字可以打開更豐厚的身體感知?劇場的身體動作又如何直接解讀而不只停留在演繹文本?文字可以有怎樣的身體性?動作如何有更強大的表演性?正是實驗核心。

《墨迷宮》有三個章節,以空間為本:公路、公廁、公園,個人和社會的瓜葛,生死愛恨和回憶的血淚對峙,沒有線性叙事,沒有必然的因果關係,對話詩化,荒境意像,身體血肉,都是平常又不平常的權力爭奪,大家在文字及話語而來的迷宮既清醒又迷糊地生活。
 
這是一次多重的劇場實驗,編、導、演都在探索新的可能,新的體驗,請與我們一起直接進入文字和身體的世界。

Though reluctant, Cheung Po Tsai’s life was full of dares, risks, hatred and love. The gangster turned into an imperial official at last, hoping to serve the country and people’s wellbeing.
