〇 - Physical Theatre by Xing Liang and anothermountainman
Choreographer Xing Liang and Visual Artist anothermountainman join hands to create the physical theatre “〇”. They start from the symbol “〇”, the emblem of eternity, satisfaction and fated destiny. This time, they place a magnifying glass over human nature, revealing it with a sense of subtleness. The real selves of the dancers emerge after shedding their myriad identities, echoing the current situation of Hong Kong.

HKAPA invites readers to revisit four inspirational stories among others.

Hong Kong's Cradle of Musical Talent: Dialogue with Prof Gabriel Kwok and Prof Eleanor Wong
HKAPA has been a cradle of new musical talent in Hong Kong since it opened its gates in 1984. Professor Gabriel Kwok, Head of Keyboard Studies, and Professor Eleanor Wong, senior lecturer and artist-in-residence in the same department, are master teachers by any measure. The two have nurtured generations of young musicians, some of whom have gone on to become renowned artists on the global stage such as Lio Kuok-man, Colleen Lee and Rachel Cheung. Sharing with Academy News their experiences learning music as children, both of them said they felt a true connection with music relatively late. Even though both had learnt to play the piano at a young age, it was not until they crossed paths with inspiring teachers and came into a nurturing environment that they fell in love with music.
