【Exclusive for HKAAA Members】(Rerun) “Arts Administrator 101” Series – Xiqu Centre Guided Tour & Dialogue with Mr Rae Wu

Following an overwhelming public response, the “Arts Administrator 101” Series – Xiqu Centre Guided Tour & Dialogue with Mr Rae Wu was successfully held on 27 April 2019 (Sat). Supplemented with innovative multimedia elements, the approximately 1-hour guided tour helped participants to discover the fascinating facts about the culture and stories behind the art of xiqu. Also, by visiting the main facilities of Xiqu Centre, including the Atrium, Tea House Theatre and Grand Theatre, participants might know more about the architectural features and design concepts behind the world-class arts venue – Xiqu Centre.

It was a great honor for the Association to invite Mr Rae Wu, Senior Manager, Technical and Productions (Performing Arts), West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, as our guest speaker. The conversation was very meaningful and inspiring. Mr Wu first intorduced the future development plans of Xiqu Centre and other venues in West Kowloon Cultural District. He also shared his invaluable experience of overseas research and fieldtrips involved. Through the cultural exchange with different architects and designers, with many times of professional field testing, Mr Wu and his team have devoted a lot of efforts to ensure that all venues in WKCDA could provide high-quality of audio-visual enjoyment, so as to foster more local and overseas audiences to appreciate the art of xiqu. Afterwards, in the Dialogue Session, Mr Wu had an interactive discussion with the participants. Both sides gave a wonderful speech and the content was very fruitful, which really benefited our participants.

HKAAA would like to thanks the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority once again, especially to those who work so tirelessly to ensure that the event runs smoothly, allowing all participants to have a nice day to remember!
