Cyrus Hui Chun Kit  | Choreographer, Artistic Director
Interpersonal politics, interpersonal power and identity are the creative themes of choreographer Cyrus Hui from Hong Kong. His works address on the blindspots around contemporary society and lead audience to reflect on established social functions, roles and relationships. Cyrus was born in Hong Kong. He graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Folkwang Universität der Künste with a scholarship from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund. Over the years, Cyrus has gained extensive performing experience in Germany, France, Italy, Malaysia, China and Taiwan. He was nominated for Hong Kong Dance Award 2015 and 2017, for his choreographic work of Here it goes again and collaborative work of Dance, for No Reason. Cyrus Hui now is the Artistic Director of Siu Lung Fung Dance Theater, and an executive member of the Hong Kong Dance Alliance. In recent years, he put his efforts in organizing Asian Choreographers Exchange Project, an exchange project that links up choreographers, dancers and artists from different art forms in Asian cities.

 

 



Sylvia Lee Ting Yan | Performer 
Lee graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree majoring in Ballet. She has performed twice with Hong Kong Arts Festival and collaborated with various arts groups: Hong Kong Dance Company, Hong Kong Ballet Group, Neo Dance HK, DPAC(Malaysia) and Yin Zi Theatre(Chongqing). She set up Siu Lung Fung Dance Theater with Cyrus Hui in 2012 as Resident Dancer & Education Co-ordinator. Lee is also the Associate (ARAD) and registered teacher of Royal Academy of Dance. By giving the great effort on dance education, she established DANCE BEYOND DANCE in 2018, mainly focus on nurturing young dance talented.

 

 

 

 



Lai Chai Ming | Performer 
Lai graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Art in 2016, majoring in Acting. After graduation, he joined Theatre Horizon as a full-time actor for one year. He is now a freelance actor. His recent performances include No Place Like Home by Windmill Grass Theatre, White Blaze of the Morning by Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Peer Gynt, Les Justes de Camus, Faustus, Beyond the Horizon, The Black and Blue of a Man(North-East Village Edition) by Theatre Horizon. He was named Outstanding Actor for his performances in school production The Blue Bird.
