Rafi Gokay Wol is Director and Head of Tours for HarrisonParrott, the world’s leading arts and music management company with offices in London, Munich and Paris. To date, he has delivered over 450 tours, events and residencies consisting of over 3000 large-scale live events in over 65 countries.
He specialises in finding and growing talent, building international strategies for artistic partners, identifying and cultivating key markets, new audiences and partnerships around the world. He has experience working with the most influential and well-known artists and institutions in classical music, ballet, dance, opera, world music, theatre and multi-genre projects. His most-recent work in Asia includes bringing the English National Ballet to Hong Kong for the Asian Premiere of Akram Khan’s Giselle, arranging a major tour of Krystian Zimerman with London’s Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen and overseeing a 3-year residency of Shakespeare’s Globe in China.
Rafi has served on a number of boards, and is a Trustee in one of England’s biggest music charities —the National Foundation for Youth Music— which invests in music-making projects for young people experiencing challenging circumstances. In addition to being a Clore Leadership Course Fellow, he previously worked at Universal Music and Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts. Rafi has completed postgraduate studies in Finance, Psychology and Philosophy and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Government and Business Administration.
Being of five nationalities and fluent in five languages, Rafi is a firm believer in the power of arts and culture to build bridges amongst cultures and to be a catalyst for social development. He is passionate about history, technology and enjoys playing instruments recreationally.
