Data-driven Digital Marketing in the perspective of and for Arts Administrator
Knowing well the data-driven marketing that would be the advantage of reaching out the right target audiences.

Going digital allows advertisers to gather information in great precision and reaching out the right target audiences. Ad Age pointed out that “Data still keeps marketers and advertisers up at night. Moreover, it is an area that many advertisers (and their host of partners) will be assessing ahead of 2018.”

Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association (HKAAA) has invited Mr Dennis Wu, Associate Marketing Director, Hong Kong Arts Festival to share with us some key concepts that may come across with the arts administrators in the digital marketing cycle and how data-driven marketing will enhance its effectiveness. He will be discussing these areas and topics:

• What is data-driven digital marketing
• Key concepts in data gathering and analysis
• Introduction to current tools and applications
• Experience sharing on deployment and usage of tools

ICA, with M+ and Hong Kong Arts Centre present: Films by Trinh T Minh-ha
On 28 and 29 March, the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), London together with M+ and the Hong Kong Arts Centre, presents a screening programme of three works by the filmmaker, writer, theorist, and composer Trinh T Minh-ha.

Hugely influential in the fields of feminism and postcolonial studies through her writing and moving-image work, Vietnamese-born Trinh T Minh-ha is currently Professor of Rhetoric and Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. During the screening she presents and discusses the three films: "The Fourth Dimension" (2001), "Forgetting Vietnam" (2015) and 'Reassemblage" (1982).

Throughout her oeuvre, Trinh has developed innovative and experimental approaches to image-making and storytelling. Dedicated to questioning totalising systems of knowledge, and representations and categories of identity, her work is characterised by its interdisciplinarity, reflexivity, and inclusion of multiple voices. She considers each work to exist as a 'boundary event', eluding labels such as documentary, fiction and experimental film, and instead inhabiting the spaces in between these designations.

Hong Kong Dance Company Announces New Season 2018/19
In this new season of 2018/ 19, the Hong Kong Dance Company presents an exciting programme drawn from a series of creative collaborations: produced in joint efforts with the Beijing Dance Academy, Beauty beyond Words: Ancient Chinese Dance Classics and Dream of the Past: Ancient Chinese Court Dances turn the clock back to recreate scenes of festivities and capers at the Imperial Palace from the Tang and Han dynasties. Inspired by The Legend of Purple Hairpin, an all-time favourite of Cantonese opera, Waiting Heart is a boundary-breaking presentation of the synergy among Cantonese Opera, inventive dance and modern sci-fi concepts of parallel universes. Our Folk Dance Drama in November is a visionary production with profound cultural depth by Ding Wei, National First Class Choreographer, exploring the Zhuang’s people longing for freedom, happiness and true love. Teaming up with Xinjiang Arts University under the direction of local choreographers, in Ode to the Silk Road we fuse the rigours of classical techniques with exotic flavours of multiple ethnic groups from the Western Regions of China, marked by passionate rhythm and eye-catching costumes. On the other hand, our Children’s & Youth Troupes embraces a fresh challenge for their annual performance by taking on an original dance and music drama, Fun Ride with Big Beard – Dancing Poems, introducing classical Chinese literature to the younger generation through delightful storytelling.

Learn · Play · Lead Fringe Tour
Over the past two years, more than 200 docents have equipped with the knowledge of architecture, conservation, oral history and body language during the training workshops at Fringe Club. Secrets and stories of Fringe Club were unfolded to the public by them through their unique narratives.
The premises of Fringe Club were established in 1890 by Dairy Farm as its Central Depot. After Dairy Farm vacated the premises for almost 10 years, Fringe Club moved in and breathed new life into the building in 1983. Ever since then, Fringe Club has revitalised the building into an open platform for contemporary arts and has been declared as Grade I historic building.

Fringe Club is going under its 13th renovation. With the façade washed clean and a group of docents newly trained, we would like to take this opportunity to invite general public to come and explore the history of this over 100-year-old building.
Upcoming opportunities to join the tour will be 10 March and 24 March.
