Ms Inn is Director of Art Next Expo, an international art fair for artists. She has a lifelong passion in art and culture, with special interest in jade, traditional Chinese ink painting, and contemporary Japanese art. She obtained a master’s degree with distinction in Chinese Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
Ms Inn is one of the few private students of Professor Yang Boda, a world leading expert in jade and ex-Deputy Director of the Beijing Palace Museum. She curated a major exhibition in the Beijing Palace Museum, “A Romance with Jade – the De’an Tang Collection”, which was the first of its kind ever held in the prestigious museum. She also edited the exhibition catalogue.
As a columnist with Sing Tao Daily and JET Monthly, Ms Inn writes extensively on art and business, covering art fairs and auctions in Hong Kong, mainland China and overseas, commenting on the evolving art ecosystem that has become increasingly important in shaping Hong Kong’s cultural landscape. She has interviewed world famous artists, curators, museum directors and art educationists, including leading contemporary artists Murakami Takashi, JR, Jeff Wall, UK architect Thomas Heatherwick, prominent Chinese artist and educationist Xu Bing, director of Tokyo Mori Museum, ex-directors of Beijing Palace Museum as well as Taiwan Palace museum, to name a few.
