Exclusive guided tour for HKAAA members/volunteers- “the Time Capsule exhibition” by Louis Vuitton
About the Exhibition
Time Capsule is a journey that revisits landmark innovations in technology and design through the history of the luxury House.  Travelling from 1854 to the present day, the story is told using rare and celebrated objects selected from the Louis Vuitton archive.
Concurrently with the 20th anniversary of the HKSAR, and the 25th anniversary silver Jubilee of Le French May, Hong Kong has been chosen as the first stop for Time Capsule.   Time Capsule begins with French artisans demonstrating traditional leatherwork skills that remain as relevant today as they have in the past century; visitors will also enjoy unprecedented access to some of the most valuable pieces from Louis Vuitton’s archives and specially curated artworks by local Hong Kong artists.

For more details about the exhibition, please visit the official website of Louis Vuitton:

Art Talk: How to Price and Display Art at Exhibitions?
There are initally a few challenges for artists. They have to determine what to put on the price tag for their works. When it comes to creating an optimal, yet artistically aesthetic exhibiting space, complemented by the right illustrations for audience's understanding  and comprehension, they have to think even harder. They will then face the next hurdle -- how to commmunicate with the audience in an exhibition or expo setting, to make sure the whole conversation will not be "lost in translation". We have invited Ms Henrietta Tsui-Leung, founder and co-president of the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association and art gallery owner, to offer and share her invaluable advice and experience.

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Performing Arts Education Centre – Organising Fringe Cultural/Art Festivals in Hong Kong
Why would we organise a “festival”? In fact, Hong Kong is never short of arts and cultural activities. Different people are organising different events. Yet, behind the flourishing scene are the challenges of how to gather like-minded people and participants, how to utilise the limited resources and time, and how to link up related activities in an organic way. The self-initiated arts and cultural activities in the community are facing various limitations, from capital, labour, resources to venues. What risks and opportunities are in store for them? In this sharing, we have invited two veteran arts and cultural festival organisers, who respectively coordinate “i-Dance Festival” and “Kowloon City Book Fair”, to share their experience.

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Performing Arts Education Centre – Designs in Life, designing Life
“Crosscover” and “experiment” are the characteristics CoLab and LAAB share. The former mainly works with visual design; the latter focuses on architecture and interior space. While pursuing functionality and aesthetic, both groups blur the delineations among design, public life and community art. How does design relate to people, communities and society in their creations? In this Sharing, we have invited the persons-in-charge from CoLab and LAAB to share their thoughts and compare their experience.
