Arty Hour @ HKAAA (January 2017) –Starting a Career in Arts Administration in US and Europe (Revised Event Time: 7pm to 9 pm)
The seminar is full. Thank you very much for your support!

Let’s Arty Hour!

Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association (HKAAA) has invited Ms Laura Bennegadi, the Founder and CEO of the ArtBound Initiative (ABI), to talk about her experience as an arts administrator in New York City. Born and raised in Paris, Laura has extensive experience in theatre production, marketing and fundraising. After building a substantial network in performing and visual arts in USA and Europe, Laura launched ArtBound Initiative (ABI), an international internship program which provides access into the arts, an industry notoriously insular and difficult to penetrate. ABI connects students and recent graduates with artists and arts organizations in New York and Berlin.

During the Arty Hour, Laura will address the opportunities and strategies for students and young professionals to fast track their career in arts administration in USA and Europe.

‘Arty Hour@HKAAA’ is a causal occasion for thoughts to collide and wild ideas to flow. We would like to invite all fellow arts practitioners, students and anyone with an interest in arts & culture to join the gathering.

Rafael Moneo: A Theoretical Reflection from the Professional Practice. Archive Materials (1961-2013)
An Exhibition by the Fundación Barrié and the Estudio Rafael Moneo

This is the first major retrospective held in Asia on Pritzker Prize-winning Spanish architect Rafael Moneo. The exhibition masterfully portrays a practitioner who sought to define an approach to architectural design based on a strong disciplinary basis amid the ever-changing conditions of his time, accepting the difficult position of claiming architecture as a specific form of knowledge. Over 250 original drawings, photographs and models spanning Moneo’s career will be featured to illuminate the architect’s own vision and story, ultimately reflecting an important part of the recent history of architecture.
