Judy graduated at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts at 2005, major in Acting. Since graduation, she has worked with various professional companies like Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Chung Ying Theatre Company, Perry Chiu Experimental Theatre, etc.
Judy started her writing career when she wrote her first script for the play
“I Sell Love”. The play was very successful and was re-run twice. She then wrote the book “I Sell Love” and made it to the 10 best sellers at Joint Publisher. In 2014, “I Sell Love” was adapted into movie with screenplay written by Judy. The movie has entered many international film festivals and won the Best Film- Jury Award in Indian Cine Film Festival 2014.
After the success of “I Sell Love”, she went on to write more plays: “The third person”, “Healthy, Not?”, “Farewell the good old days” and “Miss J’s journey” for the “Hidden tiger crouching dragon Playwright scheme in the theatre” project.
Judy’s second book “Call me princess” was nominated for the 6th “Hong Kong Book Prize”.
The screenplay “Farewell to the good old days” was selected by the Golden Horse Film Promotion Project and has won Moneff Award presented by Chairperson Sylvia Chang.
The script of the play “Farewell to the good old days” was nominated for best script in the 25th Hong Kong Drama Awards
Judy’s directorial debut short film “Healthy? Not?” won the 3rd prize in “Hong Kong Heart” Microfilm Competition and was an official selection of the 20th ifva festival, Toronto ReelAsian International Film Festival 2015 and Short Film Corner of Cannes Film Festival 2015.
