Adelaide Fringe

Began in 1960, Adelaide Fringe is an open-access, non-curated arts festival running over four weeks in late February and early March every year. As one of the largest and most diverse arts festivals in the world, the Adelaide Fringe features a range of art forms like comedy, circus, dance, film, theatre, music, visual art and more, which take place in 300 different venues over the city. Besides the ticketed shows in the Fringe program, a series of free celebratory events and activities happen during the festival, adding to the festivity and artistic atmosphere of the city. In 2015 there were 376 Venues, 1058 Events and a total of 9875 Sessions.

2016 Adelaide Fringe takes place from 12 February – 14 March 2016.

Honey Pot
Other than providing a open platform for artists and arts groups to stage performances, Adelaide Fringe goes further to spark collaboration and touring opportunities for artists and arts organizations.

Honey Pot is an initiative designed to create opportunities for works presented at Adelaide Fringe to go on to tour to other festivals, events and venues both nationally and internationally. Adelaide Fringe will host up to 100 leading programmers during the program in 2016.

For Adelaide Fringe artists and companies who are registered to take part in the Honey Pot program, the initiative provides opportunities for touring, new commissions, collaborations, professional development and networking.
Honey Pot is designed to facilitate the building of long term genuine relationships between participating Fringe artists and arts industry professionals to create opportunities for works to have a life beyond the Adelaide Fringe.
