Recap: HKAAA 30th Anniversary Dinner

The HKAAA 30th Anniversary Dinner has been held  on 11 June 2015 at The Salisbury, YMCA. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association’s 30th anniversary together with our many fellow arts practitioners. 
 
It is our honour to have Mrs Betty FUNG CHING Suk Yee, JP, Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs, HKSAR and Sir Vernon ELLIS, Chair, British Council as the Guests of Honour of the Dinner, and we are grateful to have enjoyed Yat Po Singers' delightful A Capella performance. 
 
Both HKAAA's Founding Members, Mr Benny CHIA, BBS, Vice-chairman, Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association and Director, Hong Kong Fringe Club and Prof TSENG Sun-man, JP, Co-Programme Leader, EMA (AME), Hong Kong Institute of Education shared with the guests the development history of the HKAAA and commenmorated the contributions of our Former Board Members to the development of local arts administration and management profession.
 
The growth of the Association would not be possible without the invaluable contributions made by staunch supporters of the organization over the years. It was the HKAAA's honour to celebrate the anniversary with our valued friends and partners in the arts and cultural sector. Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra Swire Maestro Series “Nightingale & Firebird”
HKPhil closes their season with two dazzling masterpieces by Stravinsky – suite from The Firebird, the revolutionary ballet which propelled him to fame, and Song of the Nightingale, based on western visions of exotic China’s imperial court. Conductor Jun Märkl is joined by dazzling virtuoso Arabella Steinbacher in Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto.
