Mr Michael MacLeod, Chief Executive, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra

Mr Michael MacLeod was appointed Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in 2011. Previous to this he was General and Artistic Director of Glimmerglass Opera (the summer opera festival in central New York state), Executive Director of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra in Connecticut, Director of the City of London Festival, General Manager of Sir John Eliot Gardiner's Monteverdi Choir, English Baroque Soloists and Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, Personal Representative of the Amadeus Quartet, Assistant Director of the National Centre for Orchestral Studies (based at the University of London) and General Manager of the Scottish Baroque Ensemble. He went to university at Amherst College, Massachusetts, and to school at Fettes College in Edinburgh.
