Meanwhile, we are excited to bring you some exciting updates from another 2013 FAME fellow, Edith, who has already started her internship in National Chiang Kai-shek Cultural Center in Taiwan in March! I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to the Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association and the Home Affairs Bureau’s Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme for allowing me to engage in fellowship attachment at the National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center (now renamed National Theater‧Concert Hall) The first day I was on board, one of the colleagues showed me around the venues and facilities of theaters and the concert hall for more than two and a half hours! Volunteering for Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association is a great way to get personally involved in local and international arts network and to gain experience in arts administration.
 
We are now looking for volunteers, who are passionate with arts and culture, self-motivated, assisting in our events, daily operation, activities, and annual conference! Since our recruitment started three weeks ago, we have received over 100 applications! Thank you very much for your support!
 
Volunteers will be assigned to different tasks, including
·       Taking care of local, international, and regional guest speakers;
·       Supporting logistic matters;
·       Assisting in operation and/or helping in reception
·       Translation assignments; and
·       Others.
 
If you are/ have
·       Good communication skills in both English and Chinese. Fluent in English is a must; Putonghua will be an advantage;
·       Friendly, pleasant personality, reliable, detail-minded and have team-work spirit
·       Interest in arts or arts administration
·       Interest in meeting local and international arts professionals and new friends

2014 Cultural Leadership Summit is scheduled to be held on 4 and 5 June 2014 (Wednesday and Thursday), and the application for volunteer service in the Summit will close TODAY! If you would like to help out on this meaningful occasion, register now to be part of our volunteer team! We will then invite you via email to attend the first briefing for the Summit on 23 April 2014!
 
For those who are interested in becoming our volunteers but are not available for the Summit, don’t worry, you are still welcome to join our volunteer team and we will announce other volunteering opportunities from time to time! Please stay tuned!
