Training Schedule

The programme is built around two learning cycles with activities designed to help leaders EXPLORE, REFLECT, APPLY and SHARE concepts and ideas around the topics of strategy, innovation and leading change. Each learning cycle begins with customized seminar, followed by activities in the leaders’ own organisations where they weigh what they’ve learned, put it into practice and connect with others in the program to compare their experiences.

 

 

 

Learning Cycle 1 (1st Event)

 


A) Customized Seminars      [14-16 January 2014]

 

•       Programme Introduction and Orientation

 - introduce the programme, NAS’ role and faculty

 

•       Strategy
       - an overview of strategic analysis frameworks

 

•       Leading Change

 - organizational analysis, team building and negotiations, strategic partnerships, stake holder engagement

 

During the seminar, each participant will build an action plan to define the objectives they hope to achieve during the programme.

 

 

B) Application of Action Plans      [February – August 2014]


- Reflect, apply and share the learning from the first seminar in their own organisation


- Receive advice and support from NAS via conference call, video conference and/or email to identify appropriate resources to support executives’ individual objectives and address barriers to implementation.


- Assess the impact of changes in organisation through online surveys

 

 


Learning Cycle 2 (2nd Event)

 


A) Evaluation and Reflection      [Mid-September 2014]


Discuss and evaluate the progress against their objectives; practical application of their action plans and barriers to innovation in their organisations

 


B)  Extended Customized Seminars      [Mid-September 2014]

 

* Leadership and Innovation

   - Design thinking, cultural competencies and negotiation

 

At the end the seminar, participants will reflect on their progress to date and refine their action plans, as needed.

 

 

C) Application of Action Plans      [October 2014 – December 2014]                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

- Reflect, apply and share the learning from the second seminar in their own organisation


- Receive advice and support from NAS via conference call, video conference and/or email to identify appropriate resources to support executives’ individual objectives and address barriers to implementation.

 

- Assess the impact of changes in organisation by an online survey.

 


*All content will be appropriate and sensitive to the local and regional context of participating executives, including local and regional case stories where available.
