Winona has over 14 years’ experience in arts administration and management and several years’ working experience in commercial sector where she has been trained to have strong business sense and a strategic mindset. She joined HKAAA as Senior Manager in July 2013 and has been appointed as its first General Manager, effective October 2013. HKAAA’s annual audience has increased from 24,000 to over 75,000 within her first 1.5 years’ leadership.
She is responsible for the overall operation and management of HKAAA as well as the planning and implementation of programmes eg Cultural Leadership Summit (2014 & 2015), Recruitment Day, 2015 arts leadership talk series, etc. She initiated and launched the first ever arts administration recruitment day in HK with huge success and has also been invited to various conferences in HK and overseas to share about the works of HKAAA and HK arts development.
She rejoined the HK Arts Centre in 2010 as Manager, Executive Director's Office and was responsible for operations, development, corporate governance, external affairs, venue related projects, policy, etc. She supported the successful establishment and development of The FRIENDS of the HKAC and its management thereafter and built its Volunteer Docent Team. In 2007, she coordinated the HKAC 30th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner.
She has also previously worked for University Grants Committee, Ernst & Young, HK Arts Development Council, TVB, and Sun Hung Kei Properties where she supported the launch of hotel projects at the West Kowloon and in Shanghai. She was a soprano soloist and school choir member who won numerous awards for her alma mater.
