Mrs Marissa Fung Shaw is Trustee of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC), a private foundation that has fostered cultural exchange between the United States and Asia since 1963. Marissa supports the work of ACC in China and Hong Kong with her multidisciplinary expertise, to fulfill its mission of facilitating enriching research, dialogue, and exchange abroad for promising arts professionals in the region.
Over the course of her career, her work in arts philanthropy, design, communications, and fashion has been anchored upon a belief that art can create powerful connections and erase boundaries of difference. In 2006, she established Creative Partnerships Ltd. – a design and arts consultancy company that initiated Draw Together Hong Kong, which encouraged people of all walks of life to connect with the benefits of art via the simple act of drawing.
Marissa is a graduate of Brown University with a B.A in Visual Arts, and serves as a board member of The Absolutely Fabulous Theatre Connection as well as a member of the Hong Kong Fringe Club working committee. More recently, she was appointed to Leisure and Cultural Services Department’s museum advisory panel.
